Things Are Looking Up is the product of destiny. In fact, in High School, host Jim Perry was voted most likely to host his own talk show. Welcome to the humble beginnings.

Perry is a habitual optimist, so he looks for the positive in all things. From Star Wars and all things sci-fi and fantasy to scientific discoveries to inspiration from history, he endeavors to lift listeners' eyes to the future, the horizon, the heavens, and beyond.

Perry presents the news stories that he found the most interesting during the time between episodes. Then he "Geeks Out" on either one or several things that he is into at the moment, or has discovered on the web. He next presents an Essay about one particular topic for that month, which can be in the style of an op-ed piece, or analysis, or a rant. In The Final Take, he brings it all back to the theme of the show, and tells us why he thinks things are looking up.
