In 2001, after the demise of Jedi Talk and before the rise of ChronoRadio, the fan radio revolution took its next steps in Canada, where a group of French-Canadian Star Wars fans joined together to create Star Wars en Direct, the world's first, and as far as we know only, French-language Star Wars fan radio show. Since September 2003, SWD began its biggest challenge yet .. . Making a another show in the hosts' second language (English), and recapturing, in their own way, part of the legacy that made Jedi Talk a great show. Star Wars en Direct (SWD) which translates into english as Star Wars Live is a live web based radio show where the hosts discuss different subjects, make reviews and interviews related to the Star Wars universe. The listeners are welcome to participate live during the show in their chatroom or by interacting via the phone, e-mail or the message board. The English version of the show ran from 2003 through 2006, but is officially over. The French version began in 2001 and, after a brief hiatus, made its return in 2008.
Be warned, SWD is a live show, nothing is censored. There are no boundaries in content (spoilers) or language. The hosts usually warn listners before discussing major Episode III spoilers.
