With the 2004 broadcast year for Star Wars fan audio ending in just over two weeks, final preparations are being made for the 2005 Star Wars Fanworks Fan Audio Academy Awards. With deliberations set to begin in January, we are now excited to announce the official list of categories for this year. Some are new, some are merged from last year, and others are old favorites.

All-Encompassing Categories
Best Portrayal of an Established Character

Note: Both the Founder's Choice and People's Choice award series have been discontinued after the 2004 awards. Only the Academy Award series remains for 2005 and beyond.

At the moment, a Fan Audio Academy of five (rather than last year's seven) members is being assembled. If all goes well, and eligiblility lists can be completed by Jan. 1, deliberations will begin in January for likely announcements in mid-to-late February 2005.
