Expanded, Explained, and Sometimes Extraordinary

And the Tales Winner is . . .
(source: starwarsfanworks.com, 11-17-04)

It's November 17, 2004, which means that just a few short hours ago, at noon Eastern, we passed the deadline for entries into the Star Wars Fanworks contest to win a copy of Star Wars Tales #21 (featuring Nathan P. Butler's Equals and Opposities), signed by writer and Fanworks founder Nathan P. Butler.

To enter, visitors had to answer the following three trivia questions correctly to be entered into a random drawing for the signed issue.

1. On what date (month, day, and year) did Star Wars Fanworks officially launch? (NOTE: This is not necessarily the date of the first Fanworks news byte, as we were keeping track of news a few months before the site actually opened.)

2. Name the three Sci-Fi/Fantasy conventions that Star Wars Fanworks has covered in depth.

3. What is the only audio program with a project page on Fanworks that is available only by purchasing CDs on that project's official website?

The answers were . . .

1. September 1, 2003

2. Dragon*Con 2003, ConCarolinas 2004, and Dragon*Con 2004

3. The Adventures of Luke Skywalker

Finally, this afternoon, a winner was drawn from a randomized mix of the correct trivia answer entries.

And the winner is . . . Suzanne Byrne!

Suzanne will be getting her signed copy very soon. Our thanks to those who entered and our congratulations to Suzanne.

The Star Wars Timeline Gold version of the contest, also for a signed copy, has also concluded today. (The winner, for those interested, was Brien Bell.) But, never fear! There is still one more chance to win a signed copy of Star Wars Tales #21 on the way. Be back here at Fanworks on Dec. 1 for the release of ChronoRadio #18: DVD and D.O.A.. In that episode, a new trivia contest will be announced, which will work the same way as the previous two contests. The deadline for that contest will be Jan. 1, so you will have the entire month of December to find the answers and send them in. Good luck!
