It's been in the works for a while now, ever since the decision to end ChronoRadio in May 2007 was made. Now, it's finally ready to go.

Nathan P. Butler's new (and fourth) radio show premieres today. Entitled The Butlerniverse (after comments made in an episode of Requiem of the Outcast), the series is similar in format to RoneyZone Radio in that it is about what the host wants to talk about, when he wants to talk about it, and how he wants to talk about it. There is no set topic, format, or release schedule.

The show is slated to continue after ChronoRadio ends in 2007, and it will pick up a few Star Wars topics after that point. For now, the show is set to include editorials, social topics, political topics, fandom topics, interviews with non-Star Wars guests (such as Mark Verheiden), and special features such as "primers" for various ongoing series to get new viewers/listeners/readers into them.

This first episode features an introduction to the series and a segment on the current state of Star Wars fan audio. Expect the next edition to feature an editorial on the current state of the American educational system (at least from one teacher's perspective). Two more episodes are slated for definite release in 2005: an interview with Mark Verheiden (creator of Timecop and, at various times, producer and writer for Smallville and the new Battlestar Galactica) and a primer for the new Battlestar Galactica seies (for the mini-series, first season, and first half of the second season, in order to catch people up for the start of the second half of the second season that will begin airing in January).
