Time for another quick multi-topic update, bringing you up to date on fan audio news "in one swift stroke."

First, a reminder: Star Wars en Direct's next live episode airs tonight at 7 p.m. ET. The topic will be the Classic Trilogy DVDs, along with an interview with Jay Thompson (director of Heart of an Empire).

Second, tangential ChronoRadio news: CR's parent project, The Star Wars Timeline Project (today's Star Wars Timeline Gold), is celebrating its Seventh Anniversary today. Keep an eye out for a new edition of that CR companion project on Nov. 1.

Third, in CR and Requiem of the Outcast tangential news: Deanna Atkinson (AKA Deanna Davis), who first appeared in ROTO #11 and will be the focus of ChronoRadio #17.5: Losing the Big V on Nov. 1, has launched her official modeling website. You can find it at deanna.starwarsfanworks.com.

Fourth, Michael Smith, frequent voice actor in the fan audio realm, is once again having to pull away from voice work for a while. He will complete any projects he has already accepted, including going ahead with his Sith Journal audio drama, but it is unlikely that he will be accepting new voice roles for the time being. If and when that changes, we'll let you know.

Fifth, the Fanworks Core Universe Sourcebook seems to be on track for release before the end of 2004 (hopefully on or around Dec. 1). In preparation, we're happy to provide a glimpse at the sourcebook's front and back covers, along with the proposed covers for the first three follow-up Adventure Journals that will be made if the sourcebook goes over well. Check them out at the bottom of this news byte.

Finally, don't forget: Star Wars Tales #21 goes on sale on Wednesday, and there will be three "win a signed copy" contests going before the end of 2004 (one here that starts Nov. 1, one via ChronoRadio that starts Dec. 1, and one via the Star Wars Timeline Gold, which starts on Nov. 1).
