FanPraise Radio Cancelled
(source: Star Wars en FM, 09-24-05)

It is with regret that we pass along the following note from Matt Loewen of Star Wars FM, regarding the cancellation of his planned FanPraise Radio program.

I guess I should just get this out of the way before I become too nervous to do it:

(deep breath)

FanPraise Radio has been cancelled.

Here's the reason: When I finally sat down to record the first episode, I did many, many takes of different segments, and, after listening to them, discovered they were all crap on my part.

There's the discovery: I can't carry a show on my own at this point. I'm like Rich Sigfrit in that respect.

In a way, it's sort of ironic. When I came up with the idea for a radio show, I had no plans to include Ben, but he really wanted to, and I thought it would be fun for him. Now, I need Ben to keep the show up to the maximum energy point.

So, sorry folks, but FanPraise ain't happening. Maybe I'll be able to do a show after Star Wars FM ends, as I'll have more experience, and I really love fan aadio, but not right now.

We should also note that the Loewens' first radio show, Star Wars FM, is also gearing up for their first Special Edition, entitled The Fanboy's Lament, which is due on November 5. You can participate by submitting reviews of the prequel films and your thoughts on whether the prequels redeemed themselves.
