The Future of Jedi Talk and Stormtrooper Bob

A short time ago, Jedi Talk and Stormtrooper Bob both received featured project pages here at Fanworks, and a few days later, we learned (and subsequently reported) that Victor Maier (Darion Blade) of Jedi Talk had formally requested that TFN Fan Films remove Stormtrooper Bob from their website.

At the time, we wondered, as did many fans of both projects, what that could mean for each of them in the future. Would they find new homes with other sites, simply be removed from circulation entirely, or perhaps be held back for a new site from the projects' original creators.

Now, via a post over on the "Fan Audio and StarWarsFanworks.com" message board at GalacticSenate.com, Victor has answered those questions and more.

To sum it up: Jedi Talk and Stromtrooper Bob will not be returning to the internet. The Jedi Talk archives are huge, while the Stormtrooper Bob files at TFN were always of a lower-than-desired quality, so Victor chose to have them removed. As for interviews, don't expect any in the near future, and if the team changes its mind in the future, such interviews will be available through Star Wars en Direct only.

So, questions answered. Perhaps now the fan audio community can step back and allow the team to return to normal fandom, as they wish.

We bid them all a fond farewell from the genre.
