Tatooine TV Update
(source: Tatooine TV, 08-21-04)

Jeff Roney of Tatooine TV (TTV) has dropped by with a doozy of an update on the progress and future of TTV. Here's a brief summary:

First, Tatooine TV will end its regular run with TTV #25, and TTV #20 - 25 will be longer than normal episodes. However, shorter versions of TTV #20 - 25 will appear exclusively in episodes of Star Wars en Direct (SWD).

Second, the Tatooine TV Director's Cut CD Collection is becoming more set in its contents. It looks like it will be a two-CD set, covering all facets of the series' creation. Jeff's description of the first CD is as follows:

Each episode will be included in its entirety. Jeff's thoughts on how the bits came to be. The trials and tribulations of writing and producing them. Interviews with the participants. The mysterious teaser will be included. I will be seeking approval to use the one and only review done on TTV, and see if the reviewers wouldn't mind doing at updated look at TTV. I will also look into getting an interview from the first person to hear the Teaser, to see what he said then, and what he says now. All should be very enlightening and interesting.
The second CD in the set should include the following:
This will be the actual vision of what TTV was conceived to be. It will be all the bits/shows cut in a "channel-changing" montage. There may be some extra bits or parts of bits that have never been released included only here.
These CDs are set for a hopeful Christmas season release, and would be available via mail for the cost of creation of the package and minimal postage (i.e. no profit).

Third, the series will not entirely die after TTV #25. Instead, production will be geared toward longer, more complex episodes for special events, such as Christmas, Arbor Day, and so on.

Finally, Jeff noted that as we near his birthday this year (August 26), we will have hit his one-year anniversary in fan audio. We at Fanworks congratulate him on a very successful year in fan audio. (Five Fan Audio Academy Awards and four Fan Audio People's Choice Awards in last year's Fanworks Fan Audio Awards speaks volumes, does it not?)

Thanks for the update, Jeff.
