The eighth month of 2006 begins with a series of new releases, as we've come to expect from the start of any new month.

Here's the rundown on today's new releases:

First, Preying Mantis Productions' new multi-part Star Wars audio drama, Sins of Salvation, begins today with its first chapter, Gideon's Stand, running over an hour in length. (This looks to be an interesting new series in a year when audio drama content has been relatively light, and we've just seen the conclusion of Conquest of the Empire.)

Second, Ian Campbell has premiered his new radio show, Ian's Sci-Fi Review, featuring one Star Wars book review, one non-Star Wars book review, and one comic book review in each episode.

Third, Fan Audio Made Easy returns with Lesson #25, featuring a segment entitled Finding Your Niche Approach.

Fourth, ChronoRadio returns with CR #28, entitled Words, Words, Words, featuring a look at Star Wars pronunciations (with Star Wars and Beyond's Bryan Patrick Stoyle), followed by the second Yesterday and Today segment, looking at Star Wars novels (with Star Wars: Bookiees host Brandon Harbeke).

Fifth, The Jedi Council Speaks #6 has been released, which will soon be followed by the series' second Springboard episode and the next regular edition that will celebrate the show's first anniversary.

We should also mention that, of course, the weekly podcasts continue, including: Star Wars Action News; Star Wars Galaxies with Yivvits and Mr. Bubble; Setnin Radio; and The Galaxy Report. (Star Wars en Direct will return in September.)
