Expanded, Explained, and Sometimes Extraordinary
Charybdis Status Update We have been waiting a while to report this, hoping news would get better. So far, we've not heard anything new, so we are going to report what we have learned. It would appear that the Charybdis audio drama series is "dead." Project writer and mixer "Alextravia Grentarii" (Alex) has let us know that the script for the next episode (Episode III) was completed long ago, but only a very small number of cast members apparently bothered to turn in their lines, leading to the majority essentially bailing on the production entirely. Originally planned for approximately twenty episodes, Alex has been considering revising the script for the third episode, then recasting many of the roles, so as to at least wrap up the storyline as it began in the first two episodes, Smoke and Mirrors and Data Mining. This possibility was discussed in early June, though we have not heard anything new since then. Barring recasting and revising, listeners should consider the Charybdis series cancelled, or at least on indefinite hiatus. Charybdis |
