Fanworks Recommends The Legacy Revealed

It is relatively rare that Star Wars Fanworks helps promote projects with which the Star Wars fan audio community is not directly involved. However, with the fan audio community covering the 30th Anniversary of Star Wars with special episodes, discussions, guest appearances, Celebreation IV coverage, and the like, we have taken our cue from the community and turn our attention to helping promote a new Star Wars special set to air on May 28, Star Wars: The Legacy Revealed.

The Legacy Revealed does as a television special with high profile political, entertainment, and commentator guests what the fan audio community has been doing amongst itself: looking at the Star Wars saga, its cultural impact, its origins, its legacy, and, most importantly, how all of those things have made it an enduring part of international pop culture.

We encourage all of those "thinking fans" who so enjoy Star Wars fan audio, particularly podcasts, to hop over to the History Channel on Memorial Day (May 28) at 9 p.m. to check out The Legacy Revealed, or, for a larger dose of Star Wars, to also stick around after or drop by the channel before the special, for another program looking at the technology of the saga.

It is our hope that this presentation will help spark further discussion by fanning the already-existing flames of such topics in the fandom radio show genre. A pre-air review of what to expect will follow this weekend.
