Mid-April New Releases

As we reach the middle of the month, we have a few new releases arriving.

We start with a big day for audio drama fans!

First, Preying Mantis Productions brings us the final episode in the Sins of Salvation trilogy, entitled Absolution, featuring new cast members, and a format created specifically for fans wishing to burn CDs of the saga.

Second, Dany Pepin's Creative Audioscape has now released the audio dramatization of Karen Traviss' short story Omega Squad: Targets from the pages of Star Wars Insider.

Third, The Butlerniverse returns with its tenth regular installment, featuring more of host Nathan P. Butler's original short fiction. This time, the episode includes two short alternate endings that Butler wrote in the mid-1990s to compliment the Ray Bradbury classic, There Will Come Soft Rains. (Two more alternate endings will be presented in The Butlerniverse #11 on May 1.)

Fourth, Joe Harrison (Conquest of the Empire), has just released a video trailer for his upcoming non-Star Wars, original audio drama project, The Age of Swords, which is slated for release soon.

Fifth, Jeff Roney's Tatooine TV Commentary, Part 2 has arrived, featuring discussion on the original series' second and third episodes.

Finally, we should note the release of James Munro's Adventure Hear #3. While not a Star Wars fan audio production, Munro's series is based on appreciation for the audio storytelling format, and this new episode features the Star Wars fan audio drama Nothing Changes by Nathan P. Butler and Steve Fluharty, as previously released here at Fanworks. A special editorial of some kind by Butler will likely appear on Adventure Hear later this year.
