Podcast Updates

As is often the case, podcasts come and go, sometimes disappearing without a word of warning. We at Fanworks take it upon ourselves from time to time to check in on podcasts that we've not heard from in a while, so as to keep our content up to date. As such, we have been looking into several podcasts to determine their current status. Here's what we've learned so far:

Holonet News and Entertainment Weekly has "gone offline," according to their website, which we are interpreting as the cancellation of the podcast. We have also learned that the Fancast is also, according to Bruce M., "dead."

Meanwhile, several shows that have been "on hiatus" (Centerpoint Arcade, Delta Source, Galaxy of Games, and The Galaxy Report) have been offline since June 2007 in most cases (and August 2006 in the case of CA). We are officially considering all four of these series as "ended" as of now. This leaves only Setnin Radio from our previous "hiatus" list, and we have put out an email to Mark Newbold to discover the status of the show, which has been without a new episode since January 2007.

We have also put out emails to the hosts of Han Shot First and the Star Wars Miniatures Podcast, while looking into the Wookiee-Cast, with regards to their current status, since none have released any episodes in 2008. For now, we are moving each of these podcasts to the "on hiatus" list alongside Setnin Radio.

In a bit of good news, it seems that Echo 3 to Echo 7 will be back, albeit sporadically, thoughout 2008, as we've received word to that effect from its creative team.
