Expanded, Explained, and Sometimes Extraordinary
Rayzur's Edge Audio Update Several visitors and fellow fan audio creators have expressed concern via email as to the status of current Rayzur's Edge Audio projects after REA founder Nathan P. Butler's recent oral surgery. The news, for the most part, is good. ChronoRadio's final episode (slated for May 16) is well on its way to completion. About 1/3 still has to be written and recorded, and several sound clips need to be inserted, but Butler expects that it will be released on May 16 as planned. In fact, he'll be doing some necessary research into past episodes this week, while he's unable to record new audio. Fan Audio News Source is in an unusual position. Depending upon how long it takes for Butler to recover enough to record without sounding strange (which a swollen face is wont to cause), the next FANS will either be later in April (covering March news) or be a longer episode in May that will cover both March and April news. There's no way to say for sure which will be the case just yet. The Butlerniverse, meanwhile, actually has segments recorded for three more episodes that were dealt with before the surgery. Butler has not yet had time to edit them together to create the actual episodes, but we can expect new episodes to be released around May 1 and May 15, plus another released either around April 15 or June 1. These new episodes include short fiction from Butler (alternate endings to Ray Bradbury's There Will Come Soft Rains and what exists of an unfinished alternate universe Star Wars tale called Intersections that Butler was writing with Amanda L. Davis). Overall, things should get back to normal for REA soon, and the only project that should be bothered at all by the recent surgery should be FANS. If this changes, we'll be sure to let visitors know. ChronoRadio Fan Audio News Source The Butlerniverse |
