2005 Official Star Wars Fan Film Awards News Two new bits of news come in from members of the Fanworks community in regards to the 2005 Official Star Wars Fan Film Awards, hosted by AtomFilms.com. One bit of news is good, the other not so good. The bad news first: After eight weeks of writing, shooting, editing, and managing to meet an impossible deadline, the first fan film parody from Jeff Roney Designs, the team behind numerous fan audio award-winning parody series Tatooine TV, has been completed. Unfortunately, it was not among the handful chosen among the finalists for the awards this year. On the plus side, we hear that it went quite well, and we'll be seeing a newly-edited version available for our viewing pleasure sometime in the near fugure. Also, the team has other audio and video projects already in preproduction. (It's good to know that when Tatooine TV ends its regular run with TTV #25, there'll still be more to come from JRD.) The good news: The creators of Star Wars: The Musical, whose project has featured a handful of music videos in the past, have created a video, using their song "One Season More," which has made the cut for this year's list of finalists. You can vote in the awards at the link provided below. The award winners will be announced at this year's Celebration III in Indianapolis, IN, USA.
