Multi-Project Status Update
(source: starwarsfanworks.com, 03-22-07)

As we move toward the second release quarter of 2007, we thought we'd take a moment to update fans on the status of several upcoming projects, some of which have only recently been announced.

Steve Fluharty's Ear Candy and THnX George Audio Productions should see the release of Jawa Raiders around June, followed by Sophix (only title has thus far been released) around October and then a "redux of the first official expanded audio series" (whatever that might mean), entitled The Dark Edit. No new word at the moment on Blue Harvest (unless that is a working title for Sophix or The Dark Edit), nor the Prey dramatization.

William Simpson and the team behind the Knights of the Old Republic: Crossroads audio dramatization are currently at work on a new noir style audio drama by Nathan Cranor, entitled The Other Side: A Jedi Detective Story. Another Knights of the Old Republic audio drama (this one an original story) is slated for the team's third project.

Joe Harrison's EUII Audio Corps is currently working toward full production on a new Star Wars audio drama called High Stakes, a trailer for which one can find at the end of the second Remastered Edition chapter of Conquest of the Empire that was recently released. (No current word on Harrison's proposed addition to the Always in Motion multi-path audio drama series.)

The team behind the first Charybdis audio drama has let us know that they intend to continue the series as a cycle of six-episode "seasons" or "phases," with no specific number of episodes set in stone.

Dany Pepin's Creative Audioscape is continuing work on the Omega Squad: Targets audio dramatization, which is only lacking a few lines and should see release very soon.

Jeff Roney has let us know that his non-Star Wars audio drama series Voices is still on its way, as are two other original series, New World Army and Animal Rites. We have learned, however, that his Star Wars audio drama, Peace Dog, has been cancelled.

We have received bad news from Brooks Child, whose audio drama Freighting has now been officially cancelled.

We have no further word right now as to the status of Jeff Vitkuske's The Coruscant Flight, Wil Kitchenmaster and Rich Sigfrit's X-wing: Gold Squadron, further episodes of Matthew Smith's Lost Cause: Episode III, nor Sonja Nelson's planned podcast, The Te of Star Wars. We'll keep you posted as more information becomes available.
