Expanded, Explained, and Sometimes Extraordinary
Requiem of the Outcast: Version 2.0 Coming Soon Very shortly after the cancellation of Requiem of the Outcast and the removal of its archives from circulation, Rich Sigfrit fills us in on something a few of us behind the scenes knew would come someday, which should thrill ROTO fans. First, a note from Rich on the various episodes of ROTO released before its cancellation: Coming very soon will be a revamp of our archive. Many people are worried that they won't be able to get copies of our previous stuff, but I'll be uploading a revised archive, cutting out most of the garbage, but keeping our Award=winning interview and some other clips and bits that I want us to be remembered by. So, the earlier ROTO episodes will be coming back, after a fashion. The better news is about the future of the show. Again, from Rich: People that know me and listen to Star Wars and Beyond know I am a wrestling fan. Nothing annoys me more than someone coming out of retirement six weeks after they retire. Well, it only took us two and a half. I know some of you will think this whole thing was a joke, and I will tell you that I never take the show as anything other than serious. But most importantly I take you guys seriously. The show had become something other than what YOU could be proud of. Declining numbers and the fact that we had become a general parody of ourselves made me realize that we were not something that you could tell your friends about. It became a show that was far too mean and didn’t have a reason to be around. But, at StellarCon, after many interviews and having fun, we realized that we needed to come back. We were recognized by people (not just one dedicated fan, but authors and even Lana Tupu’s agent), gave out a bunch of shirts, gave out a bunch of CD’s, and have been invited to StellarCon next year. I realized that just because we didn’t have a reason, didn’t mean we had a reason to quit. Many emails, PMs, and even phone calls made me realize that people still wanted the show, and that we could find a reason again. So, I will be announcing that rumors of our death have been greatly exaggerated. Although we may take a break from a regular show for a couple months, there will be original content coming from the RotO crew very soon. ROTO V2: Coming very soon. So, we'll be looking forward to the new and improved ROTO in our near future. Stay tuned, everyone. Requiem of the Outcast |
