Exclusive: John Rhys-Davies and David Ogden Steirs Rogue Productions' Shawn Johnston brings us exclusive news regarding Small Town Creatures, RP's original cartoon series that involves several fan audio personalities, including Shawn himself (who appeared as the Narrator in Rise of Nobility and was a member of the 2005 Fan Audio Academy). There's the big news (and we do mean big): March 8, 2005 Special Casting News for STC Richmond, VA – Rogue Productions President Shawn Johnston is pleased to announce the official signing of two actors who will play special recurring roles in Small Town Creatures. Rogue Productions interim VP of Business Affairs Gregory Howard has negotiated formal agreements with John Rhys-Davies and David Ogden Stiers to join the cast of Small Town Creatures, currently in pre-production. “We are happy to welcome Mr. Rhys-Davies aboard this project and thank him for his willingness to work with a new company,” remarked Mr. Howard. “John Rhys-Davies is a fantastic actor, and is extremely popular right now thanks to LOTR and the new Indiana Jones movie.” David Ogden Stiers joins the cast, bringing with him an impressive resume of work including voice-over roles for several Disney animated films. Alas, probably his best-known work is from M.A.S.H. “I think that David will be an excellent fit for this project and I can’t wait to work with him,” reported Shawn Johnston. According to Mr. Johnston, Rogue Productions is also close to announcing another talented voice actor joining the cast. “I will say that we are very close to an official agreement with at least one other established actor. We are pursuing every opportunity to add power to this series.” Rogue Productions is currently in the process of finalizing storyboards for the first three episodes of the series. Recording is currently scheduled to begin in May. “Our plans are to have a rough edit done before the Labor Day weekend for the first episode at least,” according to Justin McCall, the creator of Small Town Creatures. “That way, we can unveil special footage at Dragon*Con and we can generate the buzz that is so necessary in order to get picked up for television.” To get in contact with the company, you can email Rogue Productions at shawn.rogueproductions@gmail.com or visit their upcoming new website. Great news on a project we were already looking forward to. Thanks for the scoop, Shawn! |
