Mollmann to Write for Star Trek

A huge congratulations goes out from Fanworks to Betrayed Federation creator Steve Mollmann. Steve, a longtime Star Trek fan (as evidenced by Sigma Phi Kappa Productions' Star Trek: Foundation audio drama and fan fiction series), has now gotten the chance of a lifetime to actually write an officially-published Star Trek novella from Pocket Books!

As Star Trek heads for its 40th Anniversary next year, Pocket is releasing four new eBooks in their Star Trek: S.C.E. (that is, Star Trek: Starfleet Corps of Engineers) series. These new stories (#61 - 64) include a new tale called The Future Begins, written by Steve Mollmann and Michael Schuster.

The tale's description is as follows:

Many fans have wondered how Scotty could have been a greeter on Risa in the New Frontier novels when he was running the S.C.E. This story by new authors Mollmann and Schuster explains this disparity in a story of Dominion War espionage guest starring Admirals Ross and Nechayev, as well as Geordi La Forge.
A new tale, a series of fan-favorite characters, and a continuity fix, all in one. Congratulations, Steve! We'll be looking forward to it.
