Fan Audio Awards Presentation and Interiew Update

As the end of People's Choice Award voting in the 2004 Star Wars Fanworks Fan Audio Awards nears its end (10 days and counting to the end of voting at noon ET, Sunday, Feb. 15), plans are now being finalized for the announcements of the three sets of awards (Founder's Choice, People's Choice, and the prestigious Fan Audio Academy Awards).

At present, we are hoping to have all of the final People's Choice votes tallied and ready for a new Features section to open on Feb. 16 with information on winners and their projects. The evening of Feb. 15 (likely early evening, so as not to conflict with the online chat that will be taking place as Star Wars en Direct airs), we will be holding a realtime award announcement "ceremony" on GalacticSenate.com, posting award winners in a single thread, updated as new announcements are made, until all have been announced.

Winning parties will then soon be noted with special winning "trophy images" for their Fanworks pages and use on their own sites, if desired. Additionally, winners of the Fan Audio Academy Awards, those voted on by an impartial seven-member fan audio community group, will be contacted over the next few weeks for short 5 - 15 minute interviews by a member of the Fanworks team (either Nathan or Rich), and those interviews will be released periodically over the next few months on the project and people pages for the 2004 winners.
