Butler Talks Butlerniverse Future

Fans of Nathan P. Butler's Rayzur's Edge Audio radio shows have been able to catch new episodes of ChronoRadio every other month, Fan Audio News Source each month, and, until recently, two episodes of Fan Audio Made Easy each month. However, Butler's other podcast, The Butlerniverse, has been rather quiet, not having a new episode released since July 15, 2006.

Rest assured that The Butlerniverse has not been cancelled. Butler has, however, been focusing his limited time on wrapping up ChronoRadio and keeping Fan Audio News Source going each month. New episodes of The Butlerniverse are coming, though.

Sometime later in February or March, there should be two new Butlerniverse episodes, each featuring an audiobook-style release of one of Butler's original short stories (Do You Hear What I Hear? and Twenty Years at Five Hundred Feet). Another episode, featuring a recap of fan audio from 2006 (a continuation of the series' History of Star Wars Fan Audio from the Inside episode from January 2006) is also in the works but somewhat delayed by a busy few months. One can also expect several new episodes this summer, featuring planned interviews with Kevin J. Anderson, Barbara Hambly, Elaine Cunningham, Peter Schweighofer, and others (possibly including Rebecca Moesta), along with recordings from ConCarolinas 2007.

The Butlerniverse has been on the back burner for a while now, while CR, FAME, and FANS took center stage, but with FAME concluded and CR nearing its end in May, we can expect The Butlerniverse to ramp up as the year progresses.
