Expanded, Explained, and Sometimes Extraordinary

Audio-Based Knights of the Old Republic II
Feature on LucasArts.com

(source: LucasArts.com, 02-04-05)

It looks like the recent leaning of the official Lucas-owned and Lucasfilm-licensed companies toward features about Star Wars audio productions is continuing beyond the recent (Aug. 2004 and Jan. 2005) features on StarWars.com. Rejoice, Star Wars audio enthusiasts!

The most recent edition to the trend can be found at LucasArts.com in their section for the recent Xbox (and PC very soon) release, Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords. The hit video game, of course, requires the use of voice actors for various roles in the game (otherwise, we'd all be reading subtitles! How TWentieth Century, right?). So, in keeping with the recent audio trend, the site's Production Diary area has been updated to include a fourth entry, dealing entirely with the voice acting aspect of the game, including an MP3 to listen to!

To get to the Diary entry (Diary IV: "Voices of the Old Republic"), go to the KOTOR2 area on LucasArts.com (see link below), choose your side (Light or Dark) to enter, then go to "Game Info" . . . "Diaries" . . . and choose "Diary IV."

Be sure to check it out!

(Also, by the way, there has been another audio feature in the recent StarWars.com newsletter, the Homing Beacon, featuring a look at the voice acting and alterations that are going into creating the voice for Revenge of the Sith villain General Grievous. As soon as that edition of the Homing Beacon is archived on StarWars.com to be accessed from the site, rather than just through email, we'll post a news byte to let you all know.)
