Expanded, Explained, and Sometimes Extraordinary

February Releases Begin

The second month of 2007 begins with a series of new releases, as we've come to expect from the start of any new month.

Here's the rundown on today's new releases:

First, Star Wars: In the Beginning #4, entitled Trouble Ahead, Trouble Behind, has arrived, featuring Star Wars discussion and a larger discussion on current events and the history of America's likely next "nemesis," Iran. This episode features special guests Bob Crissman (STAR Productions) and Nathan P. Butler (Rayzur's Edge Audio).

Second, ChronoRadio #31, entitled A Small Screen Saga, has arrived, featuring discussion on whether a Star Wars TV show can "save" the saga (with RoneyZone Productions' Jeff Roney) and Yesterday and Today: Star Wars Films (with In the Beginning's Andrew Bettis).

Third, Fan Audio News Source #6 has arrived, featuring a recap of January 2007 news, along with a look at what to do when interviews go off course and this month's featured fan audio production (Star Wars: The Cantina).

Finally, Joe Harrison's Conquest of the Empire takes an unusual course with the release of the Visual Commentary version of the recently-released Special Edition of the saga's first chapter, Defense and Trepidation. This file is an MP4 instead of an MP3, which allows listeners to play the file in an MP4 player and see visual comments from the production team, essentially combining the concept of an audio file and an annotated script.

We should also mention that, of course, the weekly and bi-weekly podcasts continue. You can, as always, check the latest release list in the left column of the Fanworks main page for updates on the newest episodes of these series.

(As always, keep an eye on this news byte throughout the day, as any other new releases for today will be added to this news byte as the day progresses.)
