Expanded, Explained, and Sometimes Extraordinary

New Features: Round 5
(source: starwarsfanworks.com, 01-28-08)

As Fanworks continues to expand, we are happy to announce three more new features, all of which we are quite excited about.

So far, we have announced: the Star Wars Fanworks Audio Feed; a Frappr map; a Facebook group; a MySpace group; a new staff member (Joe Harrison); a connection to Nathan P. Butler's VIP Blog at StarWars.com; promotional materials; the hosting of Lion's Mouth Entertainment's website; and a notation of non-Star Wars projects by Star Wars fan audio alumni.

Tonight, we announce three new features:

First, we have launed a new Star Wars Fanworks Wiki, meant to be a comprehensive resource to the Star Wars fan audio genre, which will include information about the people, characters, productions, and other apsects that make up the many elements of the community and its creations. (We'd like to thank James Everett for the inspiration.)

Second, Jeff Roney has begun providing a series of ScreenCasts (video tutorials) for the tutorial section under "features," guiding newcomers and veterans alike in topics such as using the web to develop projects.

Finally, we are now offering "@starwarsfanworks.com" email aliases (email addresses that forward directly to your existing account) to those interested in obtaining one. Simply email "nathan@starwarsfanworks.com" to submit a request for a particular email alias (also providing your name and the email address you would like the alias to forward to).

The hits just keep on coming . . .
