Expanded, Explained, and Sometimes Extraordinary
Fan Audio Awards Update The first-annual Star Wars Fanworks Fan Audio Awards continue to proceed as planned. (Sounds maniacal, doesn't it?) The seven-member "academy" voting on the Fan Audio Academy Awards is over halfway done in their deliberations. Already, three categories in the FAAA have been decided (with four out of seven votes cast for those winners, guaranteeing their win). We await only 2.5 sets of votes before the FAAAs have been entirely determined. Meanwhile, the Founder's Awards are still being determined, but will be finalized by Monday. That is where you come in, valiant listeners! Starting Feb. 1 (or more likely Jan. 30, since Fanworks founder and award organizer Nathan Butler will be away from Atlanta over that weekend), you will be able to visit the Star Wars Fanworks message board at GalacticSenate.com and vote on your choices in the People's Choice Awards. You'll have the same nominee choices as the FAAAs, but you'll simply vote, alongside creators and fellow listeners, via polls on the message board. Polls should remain open through Feb. 15. Winners will be announced in late Feb. or early March, depending upon arrangements for a three-part awards ceremony, crossing over ChronoRadio, Star Wars en Direct, and Requiem of the Outcast. |
