Rise of Nobility's Keith Abbott Announces New Audio Drama Project

Keith Abbott of Rise of Nobility has recently announced the launch of a new fan audio drama project. Keith will be writing an audio adaptation of A Sumer's Dream (a short story from Star Wars Tales #5) that will incorporate elements of Rise of Nobility and Attack of the Clones.

While no release date or cast has been set, we can likely assume the return of Elizabeth Ascot's "Padme Amidala" voice, along with an expansion of the narrative from the comic, which takes place about 3.5 years after Rise of Nobility (two years before The Phantom Menace). One would imagine that other members of the Rise of Nobility cast may also return, but it does appear that the writer's slot on the creative team (if indeed the teams are close enough to really compare) has passed from RON's Linda Lyons to Keith. We should also note that this project would appear to be a bridge between the style of storytelling found in most serious fan audio dramas (Rise of Nobility, Second Strike, and Anthology, et al) and the direct comic book adaptation format of last year's Resurrection.

Keep an eye on RiseofNobility.com and Fanworks for future updates on this audio drama adaptaiton of Terry Moore's Star Wars tale, and for more information on the original comic tale, see Star Wars Tales #5 or The Star Wars Timeline Gold.
