The cover images for Echoes, the upcoming podcast novel by Nathan P. Butler (Second Strike, The Butlerniverse, et al) that is slated for release sometime before the end of Summer 2006, have now been revealeld.

The front cover (designed to fit a CD jewel case) features the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. with the tag line: "One murder. One detective. One hidden truth of our world."

The back cover (also designed to fit a jewel case, including flaps for side titles) features an Atlanta Police Department patch with the following text:

It begins with a murder in an Atlanta hotel room. There is no DNA. There are no fingerprints. There are only the victim's ties to two powerful men: one a senator, the other a high-ranking aide to the President of the United States.

Amid an unfamiliar landscape of D.C. politics, Atlanta Homicide Detective Darren Fox must seek out a killer who leaves no trace, discover secrets long buried, and come face to face with one of America's darkest secrets and most dangerous truths...

Echoes had originally been considered for a paid download or subscription service, similar to Victor Maier's approach to In the Blood, but Butler has decided that the project will be freely distributed, more akin to Scott Sigler's EarthCore and Ancestor podcast novels.
