Expanded, Explained, and Sometimes Extraordinary

More New Features Added
(source: starwarsfanworks.com, 01-15-08)

As we continue to look for new ways to help new fans enter and enjoy the Star Wars Fanworks and Star Wars fan audio communities, we have again added some new features here to (and through) the site.

First, members of Facebook should drop by and join the new Star Wars Fanworks group on Facebook. (Our thanks go to Centerpoint Arcade host Eric Olp for taking the initative in creating this group.)

Second, we have added a Frappr map to the Fanworks main page, so take a moment, if you are so inclined, to let us know where you're listening to (or creating ) fan audio from out there.

Also, for those who were curious about the new Star Wars Fanworks Audio Feed, we have updated it since our last news byte. It now also includes the first five episodes of Anthology and will soon include the latter two episodes of that series, plus a few more surprise classic re-releases over the next week or so.

What else should one expect from Fanworks as we add new features? For now, keep an eye out for: the announcement of a staff change (a new staff member joining and a revamping of the "About Us" page to reflect some staff members being long gone); the creation of of a "promotion" page that includes banners, audio promos, and other helpful tooks for Fanworks community members to help get the word out to new listeners about the site; a new series of ScreenCast tutorials by Jeff Roney to help new fan audio fans and creators get into the genre; and supplemental pages under the various sections (radio shows, dramas, and parodies) to point fans over to similar non-Star Wars productions under those headings that have been released by Star Wars fan audio veterans.

Will there be more? Certainly. We'll keep you informed.
