The first month of 2006 begins with a series of new releases for the new year.

Here's the rundown on today's new releases:

First, Fan Audio Made Easy returns with its eleventh lesson, featuring a tutorial entitled Quality, Compression, and Bandwidth, aimed at the radio show fan audio field.

Second, The Butlerniverse returns with its fourth regular episode, featuring a look at The History of Star Wars Fan Audio (From the Inside), following fan audio from the early 1980s through the end of 2005.

Third, Centerpoint Arcade returns with its third regular episode, entitled Looking Back, featuring a look at Knights of the Old Republic, the Nintendo Entertainment System, and more.

Finally, The Star Wars Timeline Gold, the massive fan-made Star Wars chronology (one of the two most comprehensive available anywhere, officially or fan-made) that has been hosted on Fanworks since its previous edition, now has a new, updated edition available. Drop by that area through the link in the left main column for The Star Wars Timeline Gold #39 from Nathan P. Butler.

As a side note, we should also mention that the Tutorials area under Features has been removed, since the Fanworks tutorials are emerging on Fan Audio Made Easy. At the same time, the Years in Review area under Features has also been removed, since such material is being covered in The Butlerniverse #4 and that show will be releasing updates on the history of Star Wars fan audio each year. Both of these changes have been noted on their respective pages.

Also, we have put up a sort of tribute page under Audio Dramas to recognize the 20-episode Star Wars audio drama series produced by Newbold-Hicks Productions back in 1986 and 1987. Fans of the NHP Star Wars universe based out of Lightsabre.Co.UK should check it out.
