Requiem of the Outcast: Episode IX
A Review by Jay Mustered

The Requiem crew is back and still quoting Monty Python. This episode, which runs over 2 hours and 11 minutes, was released in June, opening with banter about Star Wars as a TV show, Monty Python, Alan Dean Foster, slash fiction, Office Space, and everyone's favorite target: Nathan Butler.

Rebuttals of ROTO #7 reviews: Nathan Butler (Second Strike) agreed with most of their comments. Everyone who auditioned got a part, regardless of ability, and they took the parts regardless of sound quality. He admits to not having the experience or equipment to produce a better sound. Keith Abbot (Rise of Nobility) defended the use of Jar Jar, a Shaven Wookie Productions explanation, music for the production (some John Williams, some Joel McKneeley from Shadows of the Empire), Force-sensitivity in a character, Nordy the ghost, and voice actors.

"The Stro" Interview: Professional wrestler (Maestro from WCW) discusses fight choreography. Some questions asked: The best characters are based in your own personality; how do you create a fighting style? How do you choreograph a fight? Safety equipment for practice? How much practice is necessary once you choreographed your moves?

Game Section: Star Wars Galaxies expansions on the horizon and the issue of realism. Knights of the Old Republic 2 is on the horizon.

Fan Fiction and Fan Audio New Releases are included as usual.

The positive news is that if you have enjoyed ROTO in the past, they continue their sometimes funny, sometimes off-topic banter. The inclusion of the rebuttals allowed the fan audio drama creators a chance to explain why they did things the way they did.

The negative news is that if you have not enjoyed ROTO in the past, they still continue their sometimes funny, sometimes off-topic banter.
