Fan Audio Drama (FAD): a work of fan-created fiction, regardless of setting, presented exclusively through the use of sound. Audio dramas, unlike parodies, are serious tales, which now form the backbone of the expanding fan audiogenre.

The tradition of dramatic Star Wars audio presentations dates back to Brian Daley's National Public Radio dramatizations of the Classic Trilogy. Now, fans around the world have picked up this art form, creating entertaining new audio dramas for fellow fans to enjoy.
