![]() Star Wars Fanworks, a partner of StarWarz.com, launched in September 2003. Between May 2002 and September 2003, Nathan Butler's area of StarWarz.com, StarWarz.com/Timeline had grown beyond its original intent. Instead of hosting just Nathan's Star Wars Timeline Gold, it was also hosting his radio show (ChronoRadio), the first serious fan audio drama (Second Strike), two audio drama series (Anthology and the now-cancelled Context), and was offering hosting assistance to two other fan audio dramas (Resurrection and Smuggler's Run). In other words, it was already becoming a premiere location for fan audio projects. Soon, Fanworks founder Nathan Butler and StarWarz.com founder Lou "T'Bone" Tambone realized that there was no other location on the web with the same draw for fan audio enthusiasts, nor were any other major sites intending on beginning a showcase for such projects. Thus, if the genre was to grow, someone needed to act as their advocate. That notion became the site you see here today, focusing on Star Wars fan audio projects. We hope you enjoy the experience. In terms of staff, the site itself utilizes a skeleton crew: Nathan P. Butler: Nathan is the site's content webmaster and the head of the site. He also has an active hand in many of the hosted projects, as noted above, and has written for Dark Horse Comics and Lucasfilm Ltd. in Star Wars Tales. If you see the word "I" used here, it's probably Nathan speaking. Joe Harrison: Joe Harrison (creator of several Star Wars fan audio projects) came aboard in early 2008 to help develop more content and act as a "right hand man" to Nathan in assisging where needed. Jeff Roney: While not an official part of Fanworks, we would, at times, be lost without the inspiration and drive of Jeff Roney, who has, among other things, provided the ScreenCasts found in the tutorial area. (Regarding the site's original development: Sonja "BlueMilk" Nelson coded the original look of the website, while Rich Sigfrit was a frequent advisor in the site's early years. Lou "T'Bone" Tambone helped get the site off the ground as part of StarWarz.com. All have since moved on to focus on other projects.
